Can't join a game

Hi,

I am writing in because i am not able to join a game.

I have VPN connected everything seems to be running well. But when i click on an open game after a few seconds i get an error message saying that the new variant for loading TCP/IP protocol failed. The old variant will be used now. Then i get a timeout error.
I have no idea whats the problem i checked twice that i did everything how i needed to do.

If you could help me it would be amazing.

Mmh, nothing to see. Try to reinstall the aLobby, possibly the firewall-settings were gone and will be reset during reinstallation.

I reinstalled alobby, but nothing changed

I attached the screenshots
What should i do now?

You'll also get this message if the game you wanna join is closed or already startet. Try to join an open and not started game.

Just as an idea: this might be related to the locale of the OS: I don't think we ever had a Hungarian player before here - so the TCP/IP Connection text might be missing from the aLobby-code, though: what happens when you click on OK in this error message and back to Settlers 3 (Alt+Tab)? As it should continue then, imho.

Other thing: please open S3, click on "Multiplayer game" and make a screen shot of what you see then and post it here please.

Nothing happens, still the same "don't do any keyboard or mouse input" and after the 2nd error message occurs saying: "Error while loading the TCP/IP protocol in The Settlers 3" the dont do any keyboard or mouse input disappears.

We need a picture of Multiplayer-LAN game, not multiplayer Internet.

@ramstein: Ja, einfach draufklicken und öffnen

Wobei mir auch nicht klar ist, warum dort so merkwürdige Sonderzeichen drin sind.

Please download the newest beta i created for you in this moment:
http://lobby.siedler3.net/inst…Update.php

After download simply install it as usual. Then start the aLobby as usual and join an open game.

I've changed the language of my Windows 10 virtual machine to Hungarian and with the newest beta (version 2.9.11.1) it works now for me while with 2.9.11 I had the same error you had.

I mean I don't know what i'm missing, I deleted alobby and installed the newest beta and it still doesnt work for me

Mmh, if you get the s3-window with "Type of Network" on the top left what text stands in the field? Still "Internet TCP/IP kapcsolat DirectPlayhez" like in your screenshot from yesterday? If i switch to hungarian windows 10 i can see this text there and alobby joins as aspected with this beta-version.

Next try: if you see this "Type of Network", simply single-click on "Internet TCP/IP kapcsolat DirectPlayhez" (it should be bold after this click) and wait what happens?

Important: do that when joining by using the aLobby.

Other possibility: after the timeout error pops up do you go immediately back to the game and wait a few seconds? Because when you go back after clicking the first timeout error away the aLobby performs a second try using a different method.

Yup its still the same
When it goes bold it says "Status: Searching for Open Games"

How can i open join using the aLobby, i don't understand

Go in aLobby, click "New Game"-Button top left, choose a map and start game

Or (if you want to join an open game): go in aLobby and single-click on an open game
